About the role
- Consultant for ecological construction supervision and environmental project guidance at Fugro Germany. Overseeing compliance with environmental regulations in water management and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Supervision of ecological construction monitoring (öBB) for complex construction projects in the areas of water management and infrastructure
- Monitoring compliance with nature conservation and species-protection requirements during detailed design and throughout the entire construction phase
- Informing construction contractors and on-site construction supervision about relevant nature conservation requirements, e.g.: protected and restricted zones, species of particular concern, and protection and avoidance measures
- Preparation of environmental and nature-conservation planning documents and reports, in particular: species protection assessments and landscape management plans (LMP)
Requirements
- University degree in Biology, Landscape Planning, Landscape Ecology or a related field
- Professional experience in ecological construction supervision
- Proof of / a certificate in environmental construction supervision (e.g., DWA, Umweltinstitut Offenbach) desirable
- Solid knowledge of applicable nature conservation legislation, technical understanding and basic skills in ArcGIS
- Good knowledge of flora and fauna, especially species relevant to planning (breeding birds, amphibians, bats, etc.)
- Confident use of GIS and MS Office standard software
- Conflict-resolution skills and an independent, structured and goal-oriented working approach
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Fluent German (minimum C1) and very good English skills
- Valid driving licence (car)
