About the role

  • perform conflicts analysis on new business and firm lateral hires
  • advise firm lawyers on conflicts of interest issues
  • review, research, and resolve conflicts issues related to firm new business and staff personnel
  • ensure compliance with ethical standards in all jurisdictions and firm policies
  • provide legal research and prepare legal memoranda
  • assist management with sensitive issues related to practice management and firm ethics
  • provide training on conflict issues
  • draft complex waivers/consents, engagement letters, and joint representation letters
  • negotiate between lawyers in resolving disputes over conflicts and waivers
  • other related legal work as needed

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate
  • minimum of 3 years of legal practice experience
  • active member in good standing in any jurisdiction
  • strong working knowledge of relevant topics, legal issues, and rules governing professional responsibility
  • strong legal research and writing skills
  • ability to work with minimal supervision
  • proficiency with MS Office
  • relevant knowledge of Intapp products is preferred
