About the role

  • This position will report to the Director of the Cloud Center of Excellence and will serve as the resident expert on public cloud compliance and security management
  • Evaluate environments using security and compliance tools (both cloud native and third party) to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in scoping calls with customers to assess compliance requirements and security needs.
  • Implement and validate compliance monitoring tooling to include managing third party tooling configuration in support of customer environments.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of cloud security best practices.
  • Stay up to date with new compliance requirements for key compliance types (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI, etc).
  • Evaluate customer needs, troubleshoot as needed, and engineer custom solutions and performance recommendations.
  • Respond to customer support calls related to AWS and Azure environments, managing incidents within the ticketing system and resolving issues through troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate issues reported or observed, utilizing problem solving skills and attention to detail to resolve problems quickly and effectively and to proactively prevent problems. Escalate as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with coworkers and other departments (Security, Networking, Data Protection, and Operating Systems) in support of customer environments, meeting the customers’ needs quickly and effectively.
  • Appropriately document customer interactions in ticketing system.
  • Prioritize and complete assigned duties expeditiously and within approved windows.
  • Engage with AWS or Microsoft Support on behalf of Lightedge customers as needed.
  • Make presentations or attend meetings regarding internal or customer environments
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly and accurately (both verbally and in writing) while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Stay abreast of latest AWS and Azure security offerings and make recommendations to leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Security or related discipline; or an Associate’s Degree and equivalent work experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in AWS and Azure cloud environments; experience with security or compliance support in public cloud strongly preferred
  • Possess at least one current Public Cloud Certification (AWS or Azure) with a preference for Security specialization certification
  • Comprehensive understanding of public cloud security best practices and troubleshooting techniques, and experience providing systems administration and issue resolution for cloud environments
  • Excellent security analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at the same time.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively within a team, while also taking the initiative to lead when needed.
  • Initiative and problem solving skills; a desire and passion to investigate problems and develop solutions
