About the role
- DevOps/Network Engineer responsible for supporting AWS configurations, system enhancements, and network troubleshooting. Joining FIS to innovate in fintech by configuring secure AWS environments and supporting development teams.
Responsibilities
- Supporting internal development teams and external clients to configure required secure AWS environments
- Proposing and implementing system/network enhancements in AWS
- Monitoring system and network usage, and troubleshooting network issues
- Assisting with hardware and software upgrades or repairs
- Working with AWS support for any maintenance and support needs
- Perform required on-call duties
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of professional experience
- 5+ years of experience as a technical specialist
- Experience with automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools
- Hands-on experience with AWS Identity management, certificate management, cloudwatch
- End to end understanding of SSL, application, and infrastructure deployment process
- Experience developing cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins, Code Deploy (AWS) and/or GitLab
- Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology
- Experience with Terraform or Ansible in production environments
- Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewalls
- Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks such as Splunk, ElastiSearch, Grafana and Prometheus
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices
