About the role

  • Take full ownership of a portfolio of US clients across startup and scaleup stages.
  • Serve as the primary management contact from OAK’S LAB, building deep, trusted relationships with founders, executives, and product leaders.
  • Drive renewals, expansions, and upsells that create mutual long-term value.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business goals, ensuring OAK’S LAB is positioned as a long-term strategic partner.
  • Maintain visibility into client satisfaction to ensure top-tier retention and NPS scores.
  • Own revenue and retention targets for your accounts.
  • Work with the COO to structure contracts, pricing models, and budgets.
  • Partner with the CEO and sales team on closing new business opportunities.
  • Lead high-stakes proposal processes from start to close.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to ensure client feedback informs ongoing delivery improvements.
  • Participate in internal product syncs, providing insights into client goals, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support delivery teams in strategic communication with clients.
  • Advise clients on how to further leverage OAK’S LAB’s capabilities to achieve business outcomes.
  • Represent OAK’S LAB as a trusted advisor at regular management check-ins, alongside important workshops and key milestone meetings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in client management, sales, or consulting roles at a digital product agency, software consultancy, or tech firm.
  • Proven record of expanding client accounts and exceeding growth targets.
  • Solid understanding of the software product development lifecycle, from discovery to delivery.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing revenue, renewals, and budgets.
  • Confidence in leading negotiations in contracts, pricing, and long-term partnerships.
  • Ability to think strategically about how technology can unlock business value.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • Naturally persuasive with the ability to balance diplomacy with commercial assertiveness.
  • Exceptional relationship builder who earns trust quickly and fosters long-term partnerships.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams across product, design, and engineering.
  • Highly organized, bringing clarity and structure to complex client relationships.
  • Strong project management skills, able to assign, track, and follow up on key tasks to ensure accountability and execution.
  • Brings order and focus to dynamic environments, ensuring both client expectations and internal priorities stay aligned.
  • Confident in guiding delivery teams, making sure responsibilities are clear and actions are completed on time.
