About the role

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of bids and tenders, from initial scoping and qualification through content development, value proposition, and post-bid debrief, while partnering with fee earners to shape compelling bid strategies and craft winning propositions.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Team to develop and test pricing strategies.
  • Support account growth and relationship management initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to partners and fee earners on pitch and presentation delivery.
  • Coach teams ahead of pitch presentations.
  • Develop tools and resources to improve confidence and effectiveness in client-facing presentations.
  • Maintain and manage framework agreements (including bid promises documents), ensuring compliance and timely renewals.
  • Monitor opportunities within frameworks and advise on strategic participation.
  • Track and report on bid performance, win/loss ratios, and key trends.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve future bid success rates.
  • Assess and challenge bid/no-bid decisions using data, insight, and precedent from across the firm.
  • Capture and share deal data and learnings to support future bids.
  • Ensure all bids adhere to brand guidelines, tone of voice, and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain templates, processes, and best practice guidance for bid submissions.
  • Share best practice and lessons learned across the firm.
  • Directly manage the Business Development (BD) Executive.

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of legal market dynamics.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills.

  • Willingness to travel between offices as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with the legal sector and market trends.
  • Previous experience within professional services or legal sector.
