About the role
- Benefits Business Consultant providing expert consultancy and training on MRI’s Revenues & Benefits software. Engaging with clients across the UK to enhance their use of Housing & Council Tax Benefits software.
Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored training to both new and existing customers on MRI’s Benefits applications.
- Provide on-site and remote consultancy services, including software configuration and data validation.
- Lead or support data cleansing activities, data extraction for Freedom of Information requests, and management return preparation.
- Create and maintain high-quality, customer-facing training materials and documentation.
- Deliver seminars and webinars, particularly for end-of-year processing and subsidy completion.
- Produce bespoke reports using your understanding of system architecture and database structures.
- Support software implementation and conversion projects.
- Investigate client-reported issues in detail, providing solutions or effective workarounds.
- Develop familiarity with system integrations and interface specifications.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with Housing & Council Tax Benefits software (ideally MRI/Academy/Capita One).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A flexible, enthusiastic, and self-motivated approach.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and using your own initiative.
- Confident in building strong, lasting client relationships.
- Willingness to travel across the UK for client engagements.
- A technically minded outlook, with a solid grasp of database structures and reporting tools.
