About the role

  • Benefits Analyst supporting client needs through analytics and strategic processes at HUB International. Collaborating with teams to enhance profitability and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical support to our customers through account management, claims management, day-to-day client oversight, and underwriting services
  • Support the Account Executives, Advisors with quoting, reporting and other strategic analytic processes
  • Maintain excellent relationships both internally and externally with HUB clients and vendors
  • Help increase profitability of existing product lines through the proposal process
  • Develop and communicate strategy for RFPs, results and reports to carrier partners/vendors
  • Responsible for the new and renewal submission and implementation as it relates to the quoting process
  • Progressive project management for the timely renewal process concerning quality, deadline, workflow, communication and carrier coordination.
  • Analyze the respective markets and products to find the best solutions to meet client’s needs
  • Examine benefits and claims data for inclusion in RFPs
  • Organize carrier & vendor bids received and follow up on non-responses and late submissions
  • Negotiate with carriers throughout the RFP process
  • Conduct claims analysis and contribution modeling
  • Interact with Account Executives and Producers on status of marketing activity
  • Review insurance bids for compliance with specifications
  • Create and update templates used during the strategy and marketing process
  • Provide training as a subject-matter-expert to other Client Services team members
  • Attend carrier sales meetings, trainings, and webinars

Requirements

  • College Degree
  • 4+ years working for a carrier or brokerage firm.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – intermediate to expert user level preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail
  • Team oriented self-starter with ability to prioritize, monitor and control workflow deadlines and be flexible
  • Detail oriented
  • Sense of urgency
  • Understanding of benefits & benefit terminology
  • Proficient typing ability
  • High degree of independence and problem-solving skills
  • Accurate completion of enrollment/changes which includes follow-up with carriers and team
