About the role

  • Provides executive leadership and oversight for Auto Physical Damage process
  • Responsible for member service, accuracy of indemnity, expense management, employee engagement
  • Develops Auto Physical Damage strategies to support enterprise objectives
  • Leads virtual and office-based leaders across multiple geographic locations
  • Oversees Auto Physical Damage investigations, evaluations, settlements, and operations for auto claims
  • Acts as a strategic liaison between USAA and external partners
  • Monitors utilization and quality of auto physical damage third-party supply chain
  • Builds, develops, and leads a team of individual contributors and managers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
  • 10 years of progressive Physical Damage/Auto Claims related experience
  • 6 years of people leadership experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of automobile repair techniques, property and casualty insurance principles, coverage interpretations, adjustments procedures, and the law governing contracts and torts
  • Extensive knowledge of property and casualty products and services, risk, regulatory compliance, and regulations.
