About the role

  • AVP Finance leading expense management and transformation initiatives for Client Experience at Sun Life. Collaborating with teams across Canada to optimize financial processes and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting for CXO
  • Present results and analysis to senior management
  • Understand and analyze cost structures for optimization
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify efficiency opportunities
  • Support strategy development as Business Unit Risk Officer
  • Drive finance transformation leveraging emerging technologies
  • Build and lead high-performing teams in a positive environment

Requirements

  • Finance and accounting designation (CPA, etc.)
  • 10+ years of Insurance and/or Financial Services industry experience
  • Strategic mindset with understanding of SL Canada businesses
  • Preference for leaders with knowledge of Client Experience metrics and Digital ways of working
  • Proven ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Experience driving change and transformation workflows
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams during change periods
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with financial planning tools (SAP, Hyperion Planning and Reporting, Tableau, etc.)
  • Understanding of emerging technology (Alteryx, Python)
