About the role

  • Develop the annual audit plan by identifying business planning needs, assigned resources, and relevant budgets
  • Manage a portfolio of audit entities to ensure regulatory requirements are met
  • Provide guidance and oversight for the audit team
  • Maintain communication with CIBC Senior Management regarding audit engagements
  • Coach and mentor team members on project management skills
  • Maintain partnerships with key Business leaders to solicit concerns

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in auditing in a financial institution
  • Proven track record of leading and managing audit teams
  • Deep understanding of banking regulations and experience in working with regulators
  • Knowledge of audit software, data analytics or python programming is an asset.
  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in preferably in Finance, Accounting or Risk Management
  • CIA and CPA preferred.
