About the role
- Develop the annual audit plan by identifying business planning needs, assigned resources, and relevant budgets
- Manage a portfolio of audit entities to ensure regulatory requirements are met
- Provide guidance and oversight for the audit team
- Maintain communication with CIBC Senior Management regarding audit engagements
- Coach and mentor team members on project management skills
- Maintain partnerships with key Business leaders to solicit concerns
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in auditing in a financial institution
- Proven track record of leading and managing audit teams
- Deep understanding of banking regulations and experience in working with regulators
- Knowledge of audit software, data analytics or python programming is an asset.
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in preferably in Finance, Accounting or Risk Management
- CIA and CPA preferred.
