About the role

  • Governance interface expert managing regulations and IKT-related controls at Zurich's Köln office. Ensuring compliance and working with stakeholders to improve digital resilience and information security.

Responsibilities

  • In your role at the Cologne office, you act as the interface between the business units and the governance functions of the 2nd Line of Defense (Risk Management, Compliance, Legal), maintaining an overview of governance topics, in particular DORA
  • You act as a contact person for supervisory authorities and other external auditors
  • You are responsible for defining, validating and assessing ICT-related controls and KPIs
  • With your expertise you standardize processes and reporting and present control results in a clear, visual way, for example by creating Power BI dashboards
  • You prepare management-ready reports and present them
  • You work closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve our digital resilience and information security
  • As part of the operationalization of the ICT risk management framework, you actively contribute and produce audience-appropriate reporting
  • You support internal stakeholders in defining and implementing measures to strengthen digital operational resilience

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training or degree in insurance, business administration with an IT focus, risk management, business informatics, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in consulting, the banking or insurance sector, or in IT
  • Experience communicating with external stakeholders (auditors, supervisory authorities)
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory IT requirements in the financial industry, including MaRisk, BAIT, VAIT and DORA, as well as strong skills in risk assessment and control
  • Interest in legal and regulatory topics, and enthusiasm for establishing and further developing new processes and procedures
  • Strong analytical skills, flexibility, confident presence, and openness to new tasks and challenges
  • Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
