About the role
- The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data systems
- Develop scalable data models and ETL pipelines
- Ensure data integrity and enable smarter analytics through BI tools like Looker
- Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders
- Facilitate the seamless integration of new data assets and models
Requirements
- 6 to 8 years of experience in Data Engineering
- Enthusiasm for working with business stakeholders and data scientists
- Experience in financial services, payment services, or fraud prevention is a plus
- Skilled in translating industry-specific metrics into well-documented, performant code
- Experience building production Spark applications for batch ETL pipelines
- Experience building ETL pipelines using job orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect
- Experience in creating data marts for use in BI applications such as Tableau or Power BI
- Exposure to Python for scripting, data manipulation, and automation
- Proficiency in SQL a must have
