About the role
- Assistant Engineer developing instrumentation and control system designs for water and wastewater projects. Collaborating with engineers and moving into a project lead role as experience is gained.
Responsibilities
- Deliver instrumentation and control system designs for water and wastewater projects
- Develop I&C system designs with potential for Human Machine Interface and Programmable Logic Controller programming/configuration work
- Develop Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), control system architecture drawings, and installation details
- Prepare instrumentation and control system specifications
- Prepare cost estimates for projects
- Review & approve documentation developed by contractors
- Work under the direct supervision of a more senior engineer
- Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines
- Move into a project lead role as experience is gained
Requirements
- BS or MS Engineering degree
- 0-5 Years of experience (flexible)
- Engineer In Training (EIT) or ability to obtain EIT, is required
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is desired
- Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Life Safety Codes, and other related Codes are desired
- Good verbal, writing and interpersonal skills are required for coordination with other disciplines and client interface
- Electrical experience is desired.
