About the role
- Responsible for the design of all Perry Homes products, including developing preliminary floor plans and elevation designs.
- Analyze designs for cost compliance, value engineering, and overall design efficiency.
- Collaborate with CAD producers to ensure proper implementation of design concepts and review plans for design accuracy.
- Design new elevations for existing products.
- Work with Production Manager to oversee flow of plans through department.
- Conduct field reviews of Perry Homes products as well as competition.
- Frequently complete projects on very short notice with extreme time constraints.
- Exercise discretion and judgment in architectural design; perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field required.
- Licensed Architect a plus.
- Requires at least 3 years of experience in design with an emphasis in high-end residential design.
- Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, AutoCAD, 3D color rendering, and sketch-up preferred.
- Current, valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
