About the role
- Analyst assessing investment performance reporting for Ameriprise Financial's AWM segment. Collaborate across teams to enhance reporting capabilities and ensure compliance with performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Serve a critical function in advancing initiatives within the broker dealer's Advice & Wealth Management (AWM) segment
- Conduct research and define/document business requirements
- Provide analytical and reporting support
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of infrastructure for performance reporting capabilities
- Collaborate with other business units to enhance performance data
- Maintain an intake process for questions/escalations related to performance reporting tools
- Maintain control-related testing across various performance tools
- Verify compliance with Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) for third-party products
- Maintain business ownership of performance reporting tools
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Reporting and analysis experience in a financial services organization (broker/dealer preferred)
- Knowledge in investment concepts, practices, procedures, management operations and tools
- Conceptual and practical understanding of various performance metrics
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to multi-task between different projects
- Ability to execute on small to medium scale projects with limited supervision
- Experience working with performance measurement and portfolio accounting systems
- CIPM and/or CFA designation, or progress towards
- Understanding of GIPS and ability to apply the standards
