Compliance Lead overseeing financial crime compliance at Volt, ensuring regulatory requirements are met and processes are efficient. Collaborating with cross - functional teams and supporting operational compliance projects.
About the role
- Carry out customer due diligence (CDD) and KYC checks based on a risk-based approach.
- Perform risk assessments of new and existing customers.
- Provide support to colleagues on AML-related queries.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of KYC steps/controls in customer processes.
- Provide legal and regulatory input on AML in customer processes.
- Draft manuals in line with Svea’s internal AML regulations.
- Act as local responsible party for implementing AML regulations and models.
- Perform self-assessments and quality checks.
- Identify and report risks and deficiencies, proposing improvements.
- Participate in threat and vulnerability analyses, including documentation and statistics.
- Prepare KPI reports.
- Train employees on new AML/CTF routines and processes.
- Assist the Complaints Officer and Legal Department in cases of rejected or terminated customer relationships.
- Decide on customer relationships under AML regulations where no higher authorisation is required.
- Ensure quality of documentation when terminating customer relationships.
Requirements
- Academic degree in economics, law, or another relevant field
- At least 3–4 years’ experience in a similar AML role
- At least 3–4 years’ experience in the banking or financial services industry
- Excellent knowledge of AML regulations and risk-based approaches
- Experience in process development projects
- Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex investigations
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel
- Completed fit and proper assessment according to applicable regulations
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- Other languages are a plus
