Drive business development through collaboration with business partners
Identify client needs and issues and propose solutions to resolve them accurately in the context of Japanese business environment
Build high-trust relationships and respond quickly via face-to-face collaboration such as client visits and business trips
Perform tasks related to business development initiatives, such as developing business partnerships, reviewing and expanding business areas
Lead initial communication with potential customers who wish to introduce Upstage's products and services
Identify the current status, issues, and improvement goals of potential customers
Communicate and mediate between potential customers and internal related teams
Define requirements/requests from potential customers, such as reporting and issue handling, and resolve them in a timely manner
Understand issues and improvement points that arise from the customer's perspective after introducing products and services and communicate them internally
Requirements
3 to 5 years of relevant business development experience (応募書類作成時に経験期間を別途記載してください)
Ability to communicate smoothly and collaborate particularly with clients and internal related teams
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing technological environment and work in a dynamic environment
Ability to analyze, structure, and present solutions to customer needs and issues
Knowledge and understanding of business applications and solution sales
Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency
Someone who can have offline meetings with customers in Japan
Preferred: Experience in tech-based consulting, business development, or sales
Preferred: Direct/indirect experience with AI/ML-based products and services or possess AI-related knowledge
Preferred: Experience with B2B tech products and services
Preferred: Experience in cross-collaboration initiatives with various stakeholders (clients, internal development, UX/UI, research teams, etc.)
