About the role
- Gas Turbine Component Repair Engineer responsible for repair development and qualification of engine components. Engaging with internal and external repair facilities for support on gas turbine engine projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and industrialize Aero Gas Turbine component repairs
- Design analysis and evaluation of assigned engine components to ensure their operational life
- Provide oversight and direction for the creation of component CAD models, drawings, and specifications
- Develop repair procedures and inspection methods
- Support repair process qualifications and work with engineering partners
- Act as the technical focal point for the disposition of component repair Departure Records (DRs)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering field of study
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in, with, and/or supporting a manufacturing, Services, repair, or design environment
- Experience with inspection technologies, including FPI, X-Ray, and Eddy Current
- Experience with repair special processes, including welding, brazing, thermal spray, heat treat, machining, blending, coating, and surface treatments
- Strong mechanical design and analytical background
- Solid oral and written communication skills
