About the role

Responsibilities

  • Utilize descriptive statistics to summarize and interpret business banking data, providing clear insights into trends, patterns, anomalies and opportunities.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to support various business functions, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights.
  • Apply advanced statistical methods and data science techniques, including predictive modeling and machine learning, to uncover trends and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and implement data science models to predict customer behavior, develop business rules and identify business opportunities.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present key metrics and insights to stakeholders.
  • Ensure dashboards and reports are user-friendly, accurate, and aligned with business needs.
  • Identify, source and manipulate new data sources and metrics for use in analysis.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure seamless integration and high-quality data availability for analysis.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure and resolve data quality issues.
  • Conduct strategic analyses to evaluate business performance, identify growth opportunities, and support strategic planning initiatives.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights to guide business strategies and improve operational efficiency.
  • Address complex business problems with innovative analytical approaches and solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally to define analytical requirements, develop solutions, and implement strategies to address business challenges.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business banking dynamics and market trends to contribute to strategic initiatives and drive business transformation.
  • Communicate complex data findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through compelling presentations and reports.
  • Develop and deliver presentations that clearly articulate the value of analytical insights and recommendations using effective and easy to understand data visualizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Six to eight years of statistical and/or data analytics experience
  • Financial services experience
  • Strong data querying skills using SQL and SAS
  • Proficiency in descriptive and advanced statistical analysis and comfortable extracting, manipulating and analyzing large complex datasets
  • Expertise in dashboard and report development using tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Ability to understand and leverage data science and machine learning concepts in solving analytics challenges
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset, with a proven track record of translating data into actionable business insights
  • Success partnering with business stakeholders to bring together analytics with business knowledge to solve a business problem and provide insights & opportunities to stakeholder
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data findings to diverse audiences
  • Self-starter with a strong attention to detail and an ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Certification in business analytics, data mining, data science or statistical analysis
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics or Data Science.
