About the role

  • As a Data Analyst, support the GM Client Lifecycle Administration team at SMBC. Focus on control framework enhancement, documentation, and support trading desks in governance compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the GM Client Lifecycle Administration team with creating/enhancing the control framework.
  • Processing documentation and maintaining the day-to-day processes.
  • Update Credit Limits in the First Line trading system.
  • Review trade terms and organize processes amongst the group.
  • Support the trading desks in line with the firm’s governance protocols to grow the business.

Requirements

  • BA/BS required with concentration in finance or business.
  • 1-3 years of relevant banking and/or agreement work experience.
  • Understanding of derivatives and securities financing transaction product risks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and critically review existing processes to strengthen governance and controls.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
