About the role
- Lead financial accounting in a growing firm focused on renewable energy. Responsible for financial processes and team development.
Responsibilities
- You will lead financial accounting according to HGB (German Commercial Code / German GAAP), using your expertise to professionalize structures, digitize processes and develop your team.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Point of contact for tax advisors, banks & auditors
- Consolidation, intercompany reconciliations & tax compliance
- Further development of accounting processes and digital tools
- Close collaboration with the Head of Finance and related departments
- Optional: involvement in controlling (cost centers, project controlling)
Requirements
- Completed commercial training or degree in a finance-related field
- Bilanzbuchhalter qualification (certified German balance-sheet accountant)
- Approximately 10 years of professional experience in accounting, with assured experience preparing financial statements under HGB
- Is team leadership your passion?
- Experience with consolidation, intercompany processes & ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail & enthusiasm for improvement
