About the role

  • Set up, manage, and maintain the internal financial management and reporting system for the Marketing Department.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to support both financial and functional business needs.
  • Support the development and ongoing management of Marketing’s annual budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Prepare detailed budget and expenditure reports for senior management.
  • Complete monthly accounting accruals and forecasts with precision and within deadlines.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with MMNA’s Delegation of Authority (DOA) policy and all related approval workflows.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and approval records to support internal audit requirements.
  • Own and manage the full purchase requisition, purchase order, and billing process for Marketing and PR.
  • Oversee the Billing mailbox and ensure all vendor invoices and dealer billings are processed accurately and within stated SLAs (net 30 or otherwise).
  • Coordinate with Finance and Procurement to ensure timely releases of purchase orders and payments.
  • Maintain an organized digital filing system of executed contracts, invoices, and financial documentation accessible to other teams.
  • Monitor and communicate vendor aging reports with proper justification.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Marketing and departments such as Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Internal Audit.
  • Coordinate with Legal on contract negotiation support and daily contract management activities.
  • Manage and mentor one direct report, fostering their professional growth and development within the Marketing team.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial reporting, approval workflows, and budget tracking systems.
  • Proactively recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial analysis, or financial operations.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets or working within a marketing finance function.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and corporate financial processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build cross-functional relationships.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop team members.
