About the role
- Accountant managing financial statements and IFRS reporting for a global service leader. Collaborating closely with auditors and financial consultants in a hybrid role based in Köln.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS, and preparation of consolidated reporting under IFRS
- Maintenance of records required for tax purposes
- Contribution to balance sheet strategy, taking into account commercial and tax law requirements
- Participation in the preparation of the annual report
- Cooperation with and technical support for the sub-ledger team
- Point of contact for auditors, tax inspectors and tax advisors
Requirements
- Completed commercial or tax-related vocational training (possibly with further qualifications) or a degree with a focus on finance and accounting
- Relevant professional experience in (general) accounting or in a comparable position
- Good knowledge of financial reporting under HGB (IFRS knowledge is a plus)
- Good English skills (minimum B1)
- Experience with SAP is an advantage but not a requirement
- Excellent analytical skills, initiative and conscientiousness
- High degree of personal responsibility and entrepreneurial thinking
- Strong team orientation and communication skills
