About the role

Responsibilities
- Independently post all ongoing business transactions in DATEV Rechnungswesen
- Reconcile accounts, prepare provisions and accruals, and assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements
- Execute payment transactions and monitor open items
- Communicate with suppliers and customers (dunning/collections)
- Regular tax filings and reports (VAT, OSS, ZM, KESt)
- Quality control of financial accounting and process optimization
- Serve as point of contact for colleagues on accounting matters
- Liaise with tax authorities and act as contact for payroll and tax advisory offices
- Support in accounts payable/preparatory accounting (invoice review and approval with CANDIS, processing in DATEV Unternehmen Online)
- Assist with review and preparation of monthly payroll reports
- Support invoicing of outgoing invoices using Easybill
- Prepare cash flow planning
- General administrative tasks in accounting and HR
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training, ideally with further qualifications as Accountant, Financial Accountant or Certified Accountant
- Several years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in a startup or eCommerce environment
- Good knowledge of DATEV or comparable accounting software and Excel. We also use CANDIS, pathway & Taxdoo
- Knowledge of German tax and social security law
- Structured, independent way of working
- Reliability, accuracy and discretion
- Team spirit and good communication skills
