About the role
- Accountant managing financials for French entities at EXFO. This role ensures compliance with French GAAP and IFRS, supervising accounting operations and collaborating with external auditors.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and rigorous accounting for the French entities, in compliance with French GAAP and IFRS
- Review and validate the recording of accounting transactions in SAP
- Prepare financial statements and tax filings, in collaboration with external accounting firms
- Supervise an accounting colleague based in France
- Monitor cash flow and approve payroll for the French entities
- Act as the primary point of contact for auditors, banks, tax authorities and other external partners
- Maintain regulatory watch on developments in tax, social and accounting regulations
- Implement and improve internal procedures to strengthen and optimize accounting processes
- Actively participate in the Electronic Invoicing Reform, ensuring the French entities’ compliance with new requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of general accounting and French taxation
- Solid understanding of French GAAP and IFRS
- Experience with an ERP (preferably SAP) and advanced Excel skills
- Intermediate English
