Responsibilities
- Work in a hybrid schedule out of our Schaumburg, IL, North America HQ
- Serve as an Agile development team member, working closely with business partners and the Chief Data Office
- Provide solutions for business systems needs and understand business objectives, processes, and products
- Work closely with application and development teams to support systems capabilities to formulate, define, document and implement changes within scope and objectives
- Capture requirements in a formal manner
- Master complex data transformations concepts, including data warehousing principles
- Collaborate with the team to translate business needs/requirements into technical specifications/user stories for product increments while working in an Agile environment supporting the design, construction, and implementation of updates to the applications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or computer science or engineering
- 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area
- Experience with process modeling tools
- Insurance application system design/analysis experience
- Experience with use case development
- Background working in an Agile Scrum methodology
- Extensive experience with Excel
- Extensive experience with SQL Server or other relational databases
- Extensive experience with SQL queries
- Experience with Databricks
- Background working in a data foundation background
- Experience in an analytical role on complex enterprise project
- Knowledge of the insurance or financial services industry
- In-depth knowledge of insurance business processes and processing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
