About the role

  • Full-stack engineer developing tools for autonomous vehicle safety testing at Zoox. Collaborating with stakeholders to create realistic driving scenarios using modern web technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop autonomous driving simulation scenario tools to author, inspect, and evaluate the performance of autonomous driving software.
  • Extend a web-based front-end for 3D graphical definition of detailed autonomous driving simulation scenarios.
  • Extend a web back-end to interact with simulation, autonomous driving, and agentic AI software.
  • Work closely with internal customers and other stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of industry experience in C++ and Python development
  • 2+ years of industry experience, with proficiency in Web APIs and TypeScript
  • Experience building sophisticated single-page web applications with modern web development frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue
  • Experience developing scalable web back-end services
  • A BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with 3D libraries/engines (e.g., Three.js, OpenGL, Unity, etc.)
  • Experience with simulation, robotics, or autonomous vehicles
