About the role

  • Senior Cloud Security Architect for Texas state government project. Designing secure cloud architectures and integrating security in DevSecOps pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design secure cloud-native architectures
  • Provide expertise in Information Security and Systems Architecture
  • Develop and implement security policies and frameworks
  • Perform risk assessments and manage threat modeling processes
  • Secure microservices and containerized environments
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps teams for security integration
  • Lead and participate in security reviews and audits
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and frameworks

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Information Security and Systems Architecture
  • Proven experience designing secure cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of Texas Cybersecurity Framework (TCF) and NIST 800-53
  • Strong expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust Architecture
  • Experience performing threat modeling for complex systems
  • Experience securing microservices, APIs, and containerized environments
  • Experience configuring and managing Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools
  • Experience integrating security into DevSecOps pipelines
  • Familiarity with securing AI/LLM-based systems and data pipelines (preferred)
  • Experience with data protection strategies for PII, PHI, and sensitive data (preferred)
  • Experience presenting risk assessments to executive leadership (preferred)
  • Ability to draft enterprise security policies and architecture standards (preferred)
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Security Specialty (preferred)
