Responsibilities
- Contribute to the success of The Zippertubing Co. by providing innovative solutions to customers.
- Interact directly with clients, identifying, developing, and testing products based on customer and business needs.
- Key responsibilities include product design, creation of prototypes, and transition of prototypes to production.
- Interface with customers to identify requirements and translate them into custom solutions.
- Provide technical and consultative support and effectively communicate technical information to customers.
- Work with sales and marketing teams to create a clear understanding of engineered solutions.
- Develop product tooling, fixtures, jigs, and manufacturing efficiency aids.
- Maintain project completion status for all active projects.
- Create and modify Engineering documentation such as material specifications, drawings, 3D models, operating procedures, and reports.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to meet ITAR employment requirements.
- BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is required.
- 3+ years experience in engineering design or technical sales or consultative sales or intern experience.
- Proficient in CAD, SolidWorks preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication, mentoring, facilitation, and team-building skills.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Shown ability to excel in a results-oriented, challenging environment.
