About the role

  • Validation Engineer at ZF overseeing validation activities for wind turbine gearbox projects. Ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of technical outcomes in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead validation activities in line with defined validation strategies for multi-megawatt wind turbine gearboxes and drivetrain systems.
  • Ensure customer and technology projects are validated on time, within budget, and meet required technical outcomes to guarantee reliability and efficiency for global wind farm applications.
  • Define technical scope and develop detailed test procedures based on customer requirements, drivetrain design targets, and internal validation standards to ensure highest levels of durability, performance, quality, and safety.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute validation tests to evaluate risks as per agreed requirements, leveraging advanced drivetrain test benches and validation infrastructure.
  • Proactively manage escalations and maintain transparency in timelines, budget, and test results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a testing environment, including measurement data acquisition and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of measurement techniques and instrumentation systems.
  • Experience with MATLAB is an added advantage.
