About the role
- Senior Quality Engineer leading structured problem analysis using quality tools at ZF. Ensuring supplier performance and resolving critical issues in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead structured problem analyses using methodologies such as A3 and 8D and quality tools, from root-cause identification through implementation and sustainment of corrective actions
- Act as ZF’s representative with suppliers, leading projects, resolving critical issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure supplier performance improvement, guaranteeing compliance with ZF’s technical and quality requirements
- Monitor, analyze and address quality indicators and non-conformities, with a focus on customer complaints and reducing recurrence
- Organize and lead cross-functional meetings for failure analysis, definition of action plans and tracking of results
- Plan and conduct technical visits to suppliers, performing on-site analyses and validating corrective actions
- Support the internal team in reviewing and validating technical documents and quality-related processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Production/Industrial, Mechanical, or Mechatronics)
- Advanced English is a plus
- Experience in the automotive / auto parts industry
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements (IATF desirable)
- Experience applying 8D/A3 problem-solving tools
- Training or experience in project/process management is desirable
- Desirable experience with automotive components (brake fluids and brake pads, clutches, rods and terminals, shock absorbers)
- Lead auditor certification is a plus
