About the role

• Redakteur role focusing on producing TikTok videos and online journalism for DIE ZEIT. Collaborating with editorial teams, analyzing performance, and potentially appearing on camera.

Responsibilities

• You conceptualize and produce content in our Vertical Desk for TikTok and other platforms.
• You maintain close contact with our various editorial departments, oversee the editorial schedule on zeit.de, and select pieces to adapt for TikTok and other platforms.
• You analyze the performance of content on our platforms and help further develop formats.
• If applicable, you may feel comfortable on camera and supplement our host line-up — but this is not a requirement.

Requirements

• You have experience conceiving and producing short-form videos for TikTok.
• You are familiar with the narrative structure of vertical videos.
• You can write scripts for short-form videos, assist on set, and optionally edit footage.
• You have a strong interest in news and stay well informed about trends and developments in social media.
• You work in a structured and conscientious manner.
• You communicate in a friendly way and enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team.
• You remain calm under stress and act quickly and reliably.
