  • Design and evolve a scalable, modular architecture for new and existing Agentic AI applications
  • Select suitable components, define interfaces, and ensure integration, observability, governance, and maintainability across the overall system
  • Emphasize on-prem and hybrid environments; integrate Azure services in collaboration with ZEISS Digital Partners
  • Introduce agent orchestration, workflow automation, and established guardrails across the entire lifecycle

  • Solid knowledge of IP-related requirements, data protection, and security policies related to AI and automation technologies
  • Broad expertise and experience in relevant disciplines such as Machine Learning, Generative AI (GenAI), Agentic AI frameworks and patterns, orchestration, and knowledge graphs
  • Deep proficiency in Python and C#/.NET and familiarity with relevant frameworks and tools for agent orchestration and workflows (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Autogen, CrewAI, Temporal, Airflow)
  • Experience building and operating Agentic AI/automation platforms and ecosystems
  • Strong DevOps skills in hybrid infrastructure models using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of on-prem and hybrid infrastructure models; active collaboration with ZEISS Digital Partners for cloud integrations
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • High social competence and a pronounced ability for lateral leadership as well as stakeholder management in a matrix organization
  • Ability to present complex technical concepts appropriately tailored to decision-makers and stakeholders

Benefits

  • Support and advise employees in developing new Agentic AI solutions—from ideation to secure implementation
  • Build, maintain, and moderate an internal Agentic AI community to facilitate knowledge transfer and foster an open innovation dialogue
  • Close coordination with IT operations, software development, Enterprise Architecture Management, and IT Security; leveraging existing governance bodies
