About the role

• Expert UX Designer responsible for crafting user experiences in software projects for clients in Switzerland. Leading projects and collaborating with design teams while ensuring user needs are met.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the successful delivery of software projects from a User Experience perspective, including User Interface design, always keeping the needs of end users in focus.
• You lead projects across all design phases and advocate for well-applied UX design within Zeilenwerk.
• You are familiar with Human-Centered Design and experienced in applying user-centered design methods.
• You take the design lead on medium and large projects, work closely with your project team, and can clearly articulate the conditions you need to deliver successful design work.
• Depending on the project, you are supported by other designers, whom you mentor and guide.
• You facilitate workshops with clients and feel confident and comfortable presenting.
• You are also motivated by representative responsibilities and enjoy speaking in front of people in professional contexts.
• You contribute internally to our Design Community of Practice and, optionally, across the organization in roles you choose.
• You foster a productive working environment and support the Business Development team with your expertise during tenders and proposals.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a design lead on web or software projects (preferably in agile contexts)
• Solid understanding of Human-Centered and User-Centered Design and associated methods
• Strong expertise in User Interface design for software and web applications
• Experience creating, maintaining, and adapting design systems for software and web applications, based on common libraries
• Proficiency with design and collaboration tools
• Knowledge of accessibility
• Experience mentoring and leading design team members
• Experience collaborating with developers, product owners, and Scrum Masters
• Good communication skills and a strong sense for interpersonal dynamics
• Highly reflective with quick comprehension and strong problem-solving skills
• Experience with self-organized organizations
• Good German and English skills (business fluent in written and spoken, C1 or higher)
