About the role
- System Design Engineer developing tailored physical security solutions for ZBeta clients. Leading design efforts and collaborating with project managers in a supportive and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop customized technical solutions to meet client and project requirements
- Serve as an internal physical security technology subject matter expert supporting project managers and systems designers
- Contribute to the development of ZBeta engineering and technical consulting tools and processes
- Create, edit, review, and proof ZBeta design and engineering drawings package components: plans, details, diagrams, schedules, estimates, and programming matrices
- Conduct technical studies, such as cable distance and voltage drop calculations
- Conduct product research and engage in continuing technical education in physical security systems software, equipment, and related infrastructure technologies
- Troubleshoot client and project issues related to codes, standards, and regulations applicable to physical security systems
- Confirm proper function, operation, performance, and compliance vs applicable standards, requirements, and design documentation
Requirements
- 5+ years of security system design and/or security technology experience is required
- 2+ years Revit &/or AutoCAD experience is preferred
- Proficiency in Lenel security system hardware and programming required
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and Navisworks
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design software such as Revit & AutoCAD is preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to organize and present design information to clients
