About the role
- Software Development Engineer II at ZAGENO developing cloud-native systems and maintaining core platforms for engineering. Collaborating with teams to build reusable components and high-performance interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack features and reusable components used across the product
- Develop high-performance, responsive user interfaces with React.js, Redux, MUI, and Tailwind CSS
- Design, build, and maintain platform services, shared libraries, and internal tooling used across multiple engineering teams
- Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment workflows to increase developer velocity
- Collaborate with product and application teams to understand their needs and translate them into self-service platform capabilities
- Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response, root-cause analysis, and long-term fixes
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and contribute to design reviews and technical documentation
- Continuously improve platform performance, resiliency, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with React.js, Redux, MUI (Material-UI), and Tailwind CSS
- Proficiency in either Python or Java and development frameworks like Spring Boot, Django, FastApi
- Experience working on backend systems, infrastructure, or platform-related projects
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Demonstrated ability to own full-stack features end-to-end.
