About the role

  • Responsible for Project specific Mechanical Engineering and Design functions
  • Will work on planning, design, procurement, and quality of installation of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports
  • Assist mechanical designers and drafters in developing the structural design of equipment and piping systems
  • Research, design, evaluate, and oversee the installation of equipment, systems, and processes
  • Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems
  • Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products
  • Present technical information to peers or other personnel for review
  • Provide specific to discipline technical expertise to the degree of preparing and providing training for other personnel

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
  • Power Plant, Process, and/or Heavy Industrial Design experience
  • Pipe Stress Analysis
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
  • Complex Problem Solving
  • Good Communication Skills (Active Listening, Verbal and Written)
  • Critical Thinking
  • Judgment and Decision Making
  • Attention to Detail
  • Strong desire to learn
  • FE and PE or willingness to obtain both
  • Energy and Chemical and/or Power Design Engineering Experience
