About the role

  • Technical Lead driving architecture and delivery of critical restaurant technology platforms for KFC. Collaborating with international teams to support operations and team member experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and engineering standards across multiple systems and teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow engineers while building strong technical leadership and team capability.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of critical platform capabilities supporting restaurant operations (training, compliance, monitoring, intelligent actions).
  • Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, architecture, and execution plans.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable full-stack systems.
  • Drive development of secure, high-performance APIs and distributed systems.
  • Lead system design and operations on AWS with strong focus on CI/CD, observability, and reliability.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and operational excellence at scale.
  • Collaborate with product, operations, and global teams to align priorities and drive outcomes.
  • Influence decisions and drive alignment across cross-functional and distributed teams.
  • Identify platform gaps and lead continuous improvement, simplification, and innovation initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot), ReactJS, and React Native for building scalable full-stack applications.
  • Deep understanding of microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
  • Proven ability to design and optimize data models across PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, DocumentDB).
  • Hands-on experience building cloud-native systems on AWS (EKS, Lambda) with CI/CD and observability practices.
  • Ability to define technical vision and drive architecture across multiple systems and teams.
  • Proven leadership in delivering large-scale, cross-functional platform initiatives end-to-end.
  • Strong experience in mentoring engineers and growing technical leadership within teams.
  • Strong English communication and influencing skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
