About the role
- Software developer working on Air & Sea Logistics systems in a hybrid position at a leading logistics technology company. Engaging in modern software development practices with a focus on Java and agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- New development and further development of the company’s proprietary system for Air & Sea Logistics
- Use of modern development tools and environments such as Java, Maven, IntelliJ, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Angular, GitLab, Artifactory
- Application of modern development approaches such as Domain-driven Design as well as agile development following Scrum and Kanban
- Preparation of technical documentation and test scenarios
- Development of database concepts, batch programs and front-end applications based on business requirements
- Independent implementation of requirements up to implementation readiness in close cooperation with Requirements Engineers and business departments
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification with relevant practical experience
- Solid methodological understanding of modern software development
- Good knowledge of at least one modern development language/technology such as Java, Angular, or equivalent
- Familiarity with tools such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Maven, GitLab and, ideally, Jira and Confluence
- Enjoy working in a team and handling a variety of tasks, with development opportunities in Full-Stack, Backend and Web Services
- Independent, solution-oriented and quality-conscious working style
- Very good German and English skills
