Structural Engineer responsible for design and supervision of building projects at WSP in Lyon. Focus on concrete, metal, and wooden structures in the construction and civil engineering phase.
Responsibilities
Act as the Structural Engineer on design-management projects from the design through the construction phases.
Produce or supervise the production of technical design studies.
Serve as the technical and/or contractual contact with the Client (Owner).
Make design decisions, size/dimension structural elements, and prepare written technical documentation/specifications.
Supervise the development of BIM models.
Analyze contractors’ bids and participate in contract award processes.
Lead the construction supervision phase and verify the technical compliance of the works.
Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering (engineering diploma) or Master’s degree with a specialization in structures.
At least 10 years of substantial experience in design management (maîtrise d’œuvre) and construction supervision of structures.
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, steel and timber frames, and site infrastructure (roads and utilities).
Rigour, curiosity and an open mind.
Professionalism, team spirit and strong communication skills.
Proficiency with Graitec software.
Fluent English.
