Responsibilities
- Driving and leading the implementation of Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE)
- Executing supplier transfers across Solventum to achieve measurable cost reductions
- Partnering with suppliers to evaluate alternative materials and manufacturing processes
- Conducting supplier audits alongside supplier quality and procurement
- Managing the change management process of moving materials from non-strategic to strategic suppliers
- Ensuring complete validation and qualification by working closely with quality and manufacturing
- Recommending and deploying dual/multi‑source supply strategies
- Leveraging strong project and change management skills for continuous improvements
- Implementing lean methodologies and process optimizations to achieve cost-reduction targets
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Material Science, Chemistry, or Engineering discipline
- Eight (8) years of Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Masters degree Engineering or related field from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated experience working in Design Engineering and R&D
- Experience implementing significant improvements or establishing procurement industry best practices across functional areas
- Familiarity with VAVE tools and processes
- Familiarity with Solventum CMP process ( Change Management Process)
- Familiarity with supplier transfer processes
- Familiarity with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
- Excellent program management skills
- Excellent communication skills across various organizational levels
- Excellent negotiation skills and proven success working under pressure while driving projects to closure.
