Graduate Project Controller in Perth with an engineering consulting firm involved in critical metals projects. Assisting in project planning and tracking progress while engaging with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Assisting with project planning, including developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Tracking project progress and ensuring that project milestones are met on time.
Monitoring project budget and expenses and identifying potential cost overruns.
Creating and maintaining project documentation, such as project plans, risk registers, and status reports.
Communicating project status and progress to stakeholders, including project managers, team members, and clients.
Identifying and escalating project issues and risks to the project management team.
Participating in project meetings and contributing to project discussions and decision-making.
Ensuring that project data is accurate and up-to-date, and maintaining project records in project management tools and systems.
Accustoming and following best practices, processes and systems documented and utilised in the company.
Contributing to new ideas and innovations for improvements in Project Controls
Being part of new systems developments and/or deployments for Project Controls
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in engineering/commerce, construction management, or a related field with an interest in Project Controls and/or Project Management.
Knowledge of software tools commonly used in project controls, such as scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6), cost management software and document management systems is advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyse project data and identify potential issues.
Effective communication skills to interact with project stakeholders and team members.
Attention to detail to ensure project information is accurate and up to date.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency in using computer software, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, cost management, risk management, and change management would be an advantage.
Knowledge of construction, engineering, or related industries and the associated terminology and practices would be an advantage.
