About the role
- Accounting Analyst II providing accurate financial coverage for WM Area Finance/Accounting teams. Involves financial tasks, monthly close activities, and guiding finance personnel in proper accounting procedures.
Responsibilities
- Executes moderately complex financial tasks in a timely and accurate manner
- Performs month-end close activities for assigned areas of responsibility
- Analyzes general ledger accounts for accuracy
- Analyzes monthly financial results
- Collects and analyze financial data and prepare monthly combined financial statements and reports
- Assists with evaluating, documenting, and concluding on the accounting consequences of potential transactions
- Participates in monthly financial review meetings
- Provides guidance to other Finance personnel for proper internal and external financial accounting procedures and their application
- Assists with the maintenance and application of internal controls
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited)
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years or relevant work experience
- 3 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement)
