Corporate Legal Assistant supporting General Counsel at Rinnai America Corporation. Managing contracts and providing legal assistance in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Work with Rinnai Associates to implement all contractual agreements
Manage contract tracking process including drafting, review, editing, approvals, signatures, and final distribution
Maintenance of all contracts and legal documents
Analyze contract requirements to ensure compliance with corporate policies
Assist in the negotiation of contract terms
Secure and file all contracts
Track all contract commitments
Prepare reports for management on contract status
Work directly with General Counsel and assist in research and document preparation
Communicate and coordinate with internal clients and outside counsel
Provide support in drafting, preparing, and distributing legal documents
Perform various administrative and staff support services
Maintain key reports and documents for General Counsel
Requirements
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
An Associate's or bachelor’s degree preferred
A minimum of 5 years of experience in an office support environment
Prior experience in a corporate law department, law firm or with legal documents
Strong knowledge of contract and business law, practices, principles, and procedures
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs - intermediate to advanced Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
Expertise in document preparation, redlining, and proofreading
Research and project management skills are highly desired
Requires strong interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work effectively as a team member
Flexibility to assist in assigned projects
Strong organizational skills and the proven ability to multi-task and prioritize
