About the role
- Gerontopsychiatrische Fachkraft providing care for elderly residents with psychiatric conditions. Engaging in crisis intervention and supporting nursing teams in a modern care environment.
Responsibilities
- Care and support of older adults with mental health conditions (e.g., dementia, depression, schizophrenia)
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation for challenging behavior
- Guidance and support of the nursing team in caring for gerontopsychiatric residents
- Participation in care planning and quality development in the field of gerontopsychiatry
- Individualized care: You design care that truly reaches our residents
- Assistance with daily living: You provide support with empathy and dedication
- Competent medical care: You implement physicians' orders safely and monitor key vital signs
- Teamwork at eye level: You work closely with a committed and great team
Requirements
- Completed training as a (generalist) nurse (Pflegefachfrau/-mann) or an equivalent basic nursing qualification, e.g., geriatric nurse, health and nursing nurse
- You have additional training as a gerontopsychiatric specialist or are motivated to pursue such training
- You are empathetic, communicative, reliable, a team player, respectful and appreciative, and you stand for modern, professional care and support to achieve the highest possible wellbeing for each of our residents.
