About the role

  • Vice President and COO of Operations leading day-to-day operations of $1B nuclear services business. Responsible for strategic management, operational processes, and efficiency across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the enterprise operating schedule and Monthly Operating Reviews.
  • Work with Sr. customer leadership across the region, understanding needs, plant performance trends, customer satisfaction and Westinghouse performance.
  • Ownership and operation of the Westinghouse Outage Control Center.
  • Participate in emergent issue response to support customer and Westinghouse activities, acting as oversight and owner of response processes and programs.
  • Maximize efficiency through championing the Outage & Maintenance Service Lean operating system to ensure our order of priorities is maintained.
  • Safety, Quality Delivery, Cost – in that order.
  • Manage business operations to meet or exceed key business measures as defined by Hoshin Kanri and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Monitor the details and status of projects, drive regular governance meetings, communication, and updates to executive management.
  • Identify and overcome barriers to completing project on time and to budget.
  • Utilize your working knowledge of the unique aspects of implementing services at a nuclear power plant.
  • Champion continuous improvement activities through Kaizen and focused projects to standardize and operationalize AOMS activities leveraging digital and AI solutions.
  • Lead a multi-tiered organization of operations support personnel supporting ongoing operations in the field 24/7.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business-related field
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in leading large, complex outage organizations, specifically performing services on the Nuclear Steam Supply Systems and at Nuclear Power Plants.
  • 10 years of experience in OEM Nuclear Steam Supply System service.
  • Increasing levels of demonstrated leadership including operational leadership and business transformation experience.
  • A practitioner and lifelong learner of Lean methodology.
