About the role

  • Data Engineer at Westinghouse designing and maintaining data pipelines. Enabling analytics for project management and resource visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines connecting PMO systems such as DevOps/Jira, ERP, HRIS, Datalake , financial and scheduling tools.
  • Develop and optimize data models supporting portfolio reporting, including schedules, milestones, risks, financials, and capacity.
  • Support process automations.
  • Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and data governance across PMO datasets.
  • Support analytics and light data science needs including forecasting, anomaly detection, and trend analysis.
  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards, ensuring metric consistency, governance, and automated reporting.
  • Collaborate with PMO leaders, project managers, and finance partners to translate business needs into data products.
  • Work with structured and unstructured data across databases and data lakes.
  • Document data models, metrics, pipelines, and business rules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, plus experience with PMO or project portfolio data
  • At least 4+ years' experience in project management with Microsoft Project
  • Strong SQL and Python programming skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks), or modern data platform (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, or Hive)
  • Power BI expertise (datasets, DAX, modeling) and Power Automate experienced
  • Understanding of PMO/project management concepts (CPI/SPI, milestones, risks)
  • Basic knowledge of forecasting and ML techniques (scikit-learn)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams.
