About the role

  • Leading team and managing regulatory projects at WEMAG Netz GmbH. Ensuring compliance and strategic development in energy supply regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Professional and disciplinary leadership of employees and management of corporate projects/project teams using modern leadership methods and project approaches
  • Promotion and development of employees through coaching and training
  • Cost-center responsibility for the Regulatory organization unit and economic management
  • Fulfillment of employer obligations regarding occupational health and safety
  • Overall responsibility for regulatory management, including ensuring the legally compliant and timely fulfillment of all regulatory reporting obligations to the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) and the state regulatory authority
  • Strategic further development of the company’s regulatory orientation in coordination with department management and executive leadership
  • Representation of the company and advocacy for the regulatory objectives of the WEMAG Group in industry associations
  • Coordination of the regulatory alignment of the WEMAG Group, taking into account commercial law and costing requirements
  • Monitoring and optimization of all processes in regulatory management and ensuring a high level of quality
  • Management and prioritization of all regulatory topics, projects and initiatives of WEMAG Netz GmbH as well as all associated service providers

Requirements

  • Completed commercial (university) degree, ideally with a focus on energy economics or regulation
  • Several years of professional experience in regulation and controlling
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the network economy (grid operations)
  • Solid knowledge of energy and commercial law (EnWG, HGB and associated regulations)
  • Experience in leading and developing employees
  • Strong strategic and conceptual skills
  • Cross-departmental thinking and results-oriented working
  • High communication skills and creative thinking
  • Structured, responsible and solution-oriented working style
  • Valid driver’s license
