About the role

  • Engineer for municipal heat planning responsible for planning heating supply projects. Developing concepts and solutions for energy supply and monitoring legal compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and implementation of heat supply projects in municipal areas
  • Developing concepts and solutions for heat supply
  • Leading projects to develop climate‑efficient energy and supply concepts for buildings, properties and neighborhoods
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with municipalities, including advising and supporting them on climate protection activities as part of the heat transition
  • Drafting transformation plans for heat networks and solutions to optimize heat supply
  • Monitoring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Preparing profitability calculations and cost–benefit analyses
  • Preparing presentations and delivering talks
  • Developing practical tools and advisory instruments

Requirements

  • Degree in energy engineering, building services engineering or a comparable field
  • Professional experience in planning heat generation plants desirable
  • Ideally, initial experience implementing heat supply projects (e.g., developing energy, climate protection or district concepts) or experience in municipal heat planning
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Team player with a strong commitment and a high degree of self‑initiative
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Valid driving license (Class B)
